Preparation (< 1 hour)

  1. Read up on my first 30-Day Challenge
  2. Download, print, and stick my list of Paleo foods and spices on your refrigerator
  3. Find 3 paleo recipes and write down the ingredients.
  4. Find 3 marinades and write down the ingredients
  5. Find 3 side dishes and write down the ingredients (My favorites 1, 2, 3)
  6. Now you have an ingredients list of things to buy on the weekend.

Weekend (4 hours)

  1. Take a photo of yourself (wearing clothes, jeez!). Wear the same clothes each time you take this weekly photo.
  2. Go Grocery shopping
  3. Make dinner (recipe + 2 side dishes)

Lunch and dinners are leftovers.

The recipes I’ve listed are maximized for convenience, which I believe is a really important factor during the first 30 days. Don’t think that the world of Paleo recipes is boring. Believe me, it’s not. I still have a ton of fun with my meals.

What you need to know

  1. Your first trip to the grocery store might be a little more expensive at first. This is because you’re stocking up on oils, nuts, marinade ingredients. But don’t worry, these are once every two or three month purchases.
  2. Preparation is key
  3. Find your go-to foods and snacks (smoothies, dessert balls, nuts, etc)
  4. Spend the first week becoming aware of the food your eating. Check ingredient labels and ensure the items list is short and pronounceable.

Paleo in the real world

  1. Snacking on paleo
  2. Dining out on paleo
